Mic Parker - Drums/Vocals

Mic is a native of Syracuse New York and came to California at a young age where he learned to play. Formerly trained at the Ed Acher School of Percussion and numerous workshops with the world-renowned drummer Louie Belson, Mic’s association with Bassist Louie “Lui Lui” Satterfield (Motown Records) was a catalyst in his early career to playing recording sessions with such artists as Larry Dunn (EWF), the vocal group Azzyet, The Phoenix Horns, and Cash McCall. He has performed at the Long Beach Jazz Festival, Monterey Blues Festival and in several musical ensembles at the Pantages and Zepher theatres as well as the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Mic was the regular drummer for such artist as Oscar Brown, Jr., trumpeter Bobby Bryant, and guitarist Jimmy Dawkins. Infusing everyone around him with his smooth style of playing that holds the music together, Mic makes that ♫SMOOTH†CONNECTION♫ by being as pleasant to watch as he is to hear.
